The following is a sampling of services:

Epidemic Awareness. The goal of our presentation is to raise awareness about SUDs and the opioid/heroin epidemic and reduce the stigma associated with drug abuse. Our presentation provides an overview of SUDs with a focus on the opioid epidemic and the current opioid epidemic statistics. We discuss treatment modalities available and how to obtain them and educate on harm reduction techniques.

Recognizing the signs. This training educates executives and employees in the signs of substance use and SUDs. This training is particularly valuable for those who may work in an industry or population with a higher risk of substance use. We also address the best way to approach someone you may be concerned about.

The Science of Addiction. This training presents the science of addiction in an easy way to understand, shows the power of addiction over the mind and body, and provides a more in-depth understanding of the problem itself and an overview of various treatment approaches.

Sensitivity training. We educate executives and employees about SUDs and the opioid/heroin epidemic, not only to raise awareness, but also to create empathy and an understanding of the unique problems of those who suffer from an SUD. With the percentage of people suffering from substance use disorders in the United States, it is likely that 10% of your workforce is suffering from a SUD and another 10% having a family member who is suffering from a SUD. We have multiple trainers with various backgrounds including medical, police, legal and psychological who tailor presentations to your industry and concerns. We help you develop ways to create a safe and supportive work environment that will reduce workplace stress and lost time from work.

Developing a safe hiring practice for persons in recovery or with a criminal record. This program gives you the language, tools and policies that will help you give people a second chance. Many people who have suffered from a SUD have a difficult time finding their way back into the workforce. We can help you develop programs that make your environment safer for them and less risky for you.

Developing a sober workplace. Many employers are surprised to learn they may have a high rate of employees suffering from SUD. The restaurant industry is an example of an industry with a high rate of substance use. Some employers may want to develop a sober environment. We can teach you how to create a sober environment without losing your workforce or having to implement expensive drug-testing programs.

Naloxone trainings. Naloxone is a medication that reverses the effects of an opioid (narcotic painkillers or heroin) overdose. Overdoses can occur in your employee lounge, parking lot, restrooms and other areas in your building. The availability of Naloxone and employees and executives trained in Naloxone administration helps to save lives. Additionally, many employees and executives likely have a family member or friend struggling with opioid/heroin use. In-house Naloxone-administration training provides them with a life-saving tool they can use whenever and wherever it’s necessary to save someone from an opioid/heroin overdose.

Develop workplace drug policies. Our business and corporate program goal is to create an environment in which those suffering from SUDs feel supported to seek treatment. This is accomplished by creating an open, and help-oriented environment that produces honest interactions among executives, employees and if relevant, clients, thus increasing the likelihood that those with substance abuse problems will seek help rather than hide their drug use. Such an atmosphere benefits the business or corporation, its executives and employees.
